I can't see the video in the cam rooms. What is the problem?
A: If you can actually chat in the room but just can’t see video then the problem is most likely the performer’s webcam. If this is the case it is best to report it to customer service so we can talk to the performer about having a poor quality webcam. If you can’t see anything or can’t participate in the chat when you enter the webcam room you probably don’t have Flash Player installed. When you enter the performer’s webcam room your computer should prompt you to download Macromedia Flash Player. Once you accept the download you may have to reboot your computer before it starts to work. Reboot and then come back to Webcams.com.
I keep getting booted out of the cam rooms. What should I do?
A: Something could be wrong with your internet connection, the performer may be booting you from her webcam room for some reason, or you may be running out of credits if you are in the Premium chat.
My username and password does not work.
A: If you have forgotten your password you can look it up on the login page. Otherwise, your account may have been cancelled due to your credit card being declined. The best thing to do is contact customer support so they can tell you why your account is not working.
It won't let me buy site credit for the premium services.
A: If you are trying to buy site credit on Webcams.com but it is not working then most likely your credit card is being declined. This could be declined due to insufficient credit or because your region of the world is blocked by our billing service. In either case you should probably create a new membership with another credit card. If you are using checks and it is declining you then for some reason we cannot verify your checking account information or you have had a bounced check in the past.
How do I use the Cam to Cam feature?
A: Using the cam to cam (cam2cam) feature on Webcams.com for live video chat is very easy and fun. When you first enter the chat it will ask if you want to allow Webcams.com to access your cam and microphone. You can click ‘Yes’ to accept. Or you can right click on the chat and go to “Options”. It will then ask again if you want to allow Webcams.com to access your cam and microphone. Click ‘Yes’ to accept and you will be showing your cam to the performer. Don’t worry! Only the performer can see your cam. This means other users in the performer’s live cam show DO NOT have access to view your cam.
I am using AOL. Can I still view the live shows?
A: Yes, as long as you use Internet Explorer web browse to view the cam shows. The best thing to do is to use your regular Internet Explorer browser instead of the default AOL browser. Do this by going to “Start” then “Run” with Windows 95 or higher, and typing ‘iexplore’ then pressing enter, or clicking on the Internet Explorer Icon on your Quick Launch toolbar or on your desktop
Which browser works best to view the Webcams.com webcams?
A: Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0 or better works best. However, Netscape, Mozilla, and Firefox all work as well.
Do I need any plug ins to view the live performances?
A: The only plugin you need is Flash Player. Almost every computer comes with this pre-installed and if it is not installed it only takes about 15 seconds to download. You will be automatically prompted to download the software when you first login to the site and every time you enter the live cam rooms if you have not already downloaded it. It’s very easy and will load automatically every time you enter the cam rooms.
